Our breakfast Fly Out this month was to Popham. The visibility wasn't great - a bit hazy - but perfectly flyable, and the temperature was a pleasant 12 degrees. As everyone started to arrive at Redhill around 9:30am, the weather reported at Odiham was OVC 800 feet, so not ideal.

Congratulations to our student Aeryn, who has been busy with the books recently and progressing through her theory exams.Aeryn has scored 100% in her Meteorology exam, 92% for Principles of Flight and 84% for Navigation. Very well done!Aeryn is now looking forward to getting back up into the air again, hopefully to put her navigation theory skills into practice with a landaway to Lydd for the first time. We shall watch this space....

Congratulations to our member Erdinc, who successfully revalidated his licence today with our in-house examiner Tuhin in our PA28 G-BIUY.Erdinc first got his PPL in 1982 but his licence lapsed some time ago. You never know what might happen and as such in aviation you should be prepared that your plans may not always go as you would hope.Just last week, our student Luca was sent on only his second solo flight in the circuit at Redhill on Runway 25. After he had completed two circuits, the runway became blocked and was therefore not available.
