Fully Funded Sponsored Flight Instructor Course (FIC)

Are you looking to obtain your flight instructor rating? We are offering to cover the complete cost of the flight instructor course with Redhill Aviation. With a bonded sponsorship scheme to cover your FIC training course along with a guaranteed job at either our Redhill or Shoreham flight school.

With a waiting list of students to start their PPL course new instructors coming online with the club can expect to be flying a full schedule as soon as they are ready.

What You Need to Apply:

  • A UK CAA Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or Private Pilots Licence (PPL) Holder with at least 200 hours.
  • Meet all other pre-entry requirements for the instructor course as detailed below.
  • Be available at least 182 days a year to instruct at our clubs, including a set number of weekend days.

Licence & Experience Requirements to Apply:

To meet the pre-entry requirements applicants must either hold a CPL licence or alternatively hold a PPL licence providing you satisfy the below requirements:

PPL(A) Holder – Flight Instructor Pre-entry requirements:
Total Hours200 hours Total, 150 PIC
Hours on SEP30 Hours on SEP with 5 Hours in the past 6 months before pre-entry test
Instrument Hours10 Hours instrument flight instruction, 5 of which may be in FSTD
Cross Country Hours20 hours VFR cross country as PIC and CPL cross country
MedicalHold a current UK CAA medical, Class 2 or greater
Theoretical Knowledge (Optional)For a PPL instructor – Have completed and passed ATPL or CPL exams.

Alternatively an FI(R) who has not completed the ATPL or CPL exams can instruct non ab initio courses and LAPL (however not PPL).
