Successful Qualifying Cross Country!

Congratulations to our student Stewart who today successfully completed his 150NM solo Qualifying Cross Country flight!Stewart has chosen to undertake his flight training using our larger three/four seat training aircraft and today flew G-CEZI, our 160hp Piper Cadet. Making the most of the lovely blue skies and warm weather, Stewart flew from Redhill to Thruxton and then on to Lydd, before returning back to Redhill in the early evening. Stewart says he is now looking forward to complet...

Second Skills Test Pass Today!

More congratulations go to our student Stuart who today ALSO passed his PPL Skills Test!Stuart previously held a PPL licence, but let it lapse and hadn't flown for around ten years. TWO Qualifying Cross Country Flights Today!

Student Pablo flies over his workplace!

Today our student Pablo set off with instructor Laurance for a cross country training flight as a partial practice for his upcoming Qualifying Cross Country. After displaying excellent navigations skills, Pablo landed Cessna 152 G-BMUO successfully at Goodwood aerodrome for the first time. As a treat for Pablo on the return leg, instructor Laurance decided to try to arrange for a South to North crossing over Gatwick, so that both student and instructor could see their mutual workplaces...

Helicopter Hooray for Instructor Mark!

First Solo!

HUGE congratulations to our student Mark who today achieved his first solo!Mark is an experienced glider pilot and instructor, but is now in the process of making the transition to powered aircraft and is working towards his LAPL licence. Mark flew his first solo in C152 G-BOLV late in the afternoon after practicing a few circuits on Rwy 08L with instructor Laurance beforehand. The weather was gloomy but the winds were light for the big event. Well done Mark, a great achievement!

First Solo Navigation Exercise!
