Student Pablo flies over his workplace!
Today our student Pablo set off with instructor Laurance for a cross country training flight as a partial practice for his upcoming Qualifying Cross Country.
After displaying excellent navigations skills, Pablo landed Cessna 152 G-BMUO successfully at Goodwood aerodrome for the first time.
As a treat for Pablo on the return leg, instructor Laurance decided to try to arrange for a South to North crossing over Gatwick, so that both student and instructor could see their mutual workplaces on the airport from above!

Of course, Pablo had prepared an alternative route to return from Goodwood to Redhill and had the crossing not been authorised, that route would have been followed instead.
As well as the unexpected Gatwick overflight, Pablo then had to contend with the rapid preparations required to make the unusual join downwind LEFT for Runway 26R at Redhill. Pablo handled the challenge really well, proving he is ready for his QXC. Well done Pablo!
