During the heat of the morning, while waiting for the next student to arrive, we spotted a bright red antique 1930s fire engine parked next to Redhill Aviation. One of our instructors went to have a look and started chatting to the owner, who informed us that the vehicle had been completely restored and we can testify that it was in absolutely pristine condition. The owner had brought the vehicle out for a run and had really wanted to get some photographs in a classic setting - and whe...

Congratulations to Elmar who today successfully upgraded his flexwing microlight NPPL (National Private Pilot's Licence) to a LAPL.In order to do this, Elmar first had to obtain an SSEA (simple single engine aircraft) addition to his NPPL and then via the LAA (Light Aircraft Association) convert it to a LAPL. He completed one of the two flight tests required in Cessna 152 G-BGFX with our in-house examiner, Jill Develin. Congratulations Captain!

Learning to fly and get my name on a PPL has been a dream of mine since I was very small. I vividly remember making and flying...
