Fantastic Flyout to Lee on Solent!

Successful PPL pass in our PA28 Archer in just seven months!!!

Congratulations to our student Johnathan for passing his PPL Skills test today! Johnathan chose to do all of his training on our PA28 Archer G-BIUY during one of the wettest winters we have experienced for many years! Fortunately he was able to make full use of Redhill's improved runway 07/25, now available for circuits and student solos.

First solo after a year's break…

Well done to our student Henry who flew solo again today for the first time in over a year. Work and other commitments sometimes get in the way of our students' training - as happened to Henry last year. However, he is now back with enthusiasm and after just three flights to brush off the rust, he has flown solo once again!

Angry Birds!

Whilst taxiing along the Delta taxiway, keep an eagle eye out for this protective pheasant! He has been spotted several times this week trying to chase away all annoying aeroplanes. It would appear that he is an Anti-Aviation Avian!

Successful PPL Skills Test Pass in just 59 hours!!!

Congratulations to our student Annabelle who passed her PPL Skills Test today on a lovely sunny spring day! Annabelle carried out her training on our Cessna 152s and completed her training in just 59.4 hours, over a ten month period. Annabelle proved to be a whizz at the theory exams, achieving 100% in four of the nine exams and achieving an overall average of around 94%.

Furthest distance travelled for an Air Experience flight!

Today a new record was set - the furthest distance travelled by someone having their first Air Experience flight. Our Norwegian visitor came all the way from Oslo with his friends, who had bought him a 30 minute Aerobatic flight as a surprise present. Fortunately the weather was excellent on the day and he had great fun in G-BOSO.

Summer Operations now in force

Summer 2016 Operating Hours & Fuelling Arrangements   Aerodrome hours of Availability WEF Sunday 27 March 2016 the standard operating hours of the Aerodrome will be 0900-1900 local (0800-1800 UTC). Out of Hours permits are available for fixed-wing aircraft to cover operations between 0700-0800 hours BST and 1900-2200 hours BST. Please contact the SATCO for details.
