The Summer of Love!!!

We are absolutely thrilled to offer our HUGE congratulations to our former student Simon and his new fiancée Sabrina who got engaged today!

Simon gained his PPL with us last summer, taking lessons with our instructor Laurance. Before even passing his Skills Test, Simon took the plunge and purchased a share in an aircraft – a PA28 based at Redhill. Since getting his licence, Simon wasted no time in converting from the Cessna 152 to the PA28 and has gradually been building up his experience, flying with Sabrina to various locations in the UK and more recently, venturing abroad to the lovely Le Touquet. It would seem that they both enjoyed their French foray very much and returned again this weekend, flying to Le Touquet on Saturday afternoon and staying overnight. They had a romantic meal together on Saturday night and then cycled around the town on Sunday morning.

On the return flight, Simon asked Sabrina to read out his specially adapted "Cross Channel Checklist" which incorporated the big question! 

We love Simon's ingenuity with his plan and are delighted to report that Sabrina said "Oui"!

The last word goes to Simon, who said "Thank you to everyone involved in getting me this far in my flying".

This is certainly turning out to be the "Summer of Love" for a few of our students, and we wish them every happiness.
