Pablo's PPL Pass!
Many congratulations to our student Pablo who today successfully passed his PPL Skills Test!
Followers of our blog will remember that Pablo and his best friend and work colleague Luca both recently started training together with Redhill Aviation. Both Luca and Pablo work as engineers at nearby Gatwick Airport and hope to one day become professional pilots themselves. In the meantime, they have been fitting in their flying training around their shifts at Gatwick.
Pablo has made a great start to his future aviation career by completing his flight training in 53 hours. This is impressive, especially as English is not his first language. Pablo has been learning on our Cessna 152s and today flew G-BOLV with our in-house examiner Jim.
Although a cloudy day today, the conditions were good enough for the test to go ahead. For the navigation part of the route, examiner Jim asked Pablo to plan a route to fly to Maypole, Scotney Castle, onwards towards Lydd before performing a diversion to Lamberhurst.
We are delighted that both Luca and Pablo have now passed the first hurdle en-route to their future aviation ambitions – and both with flying colours!
We look forward to following their progress. In the meantime, very well done Pablo!
