Solo Qualifying Cross Country Flight Completed!

Congratulations to our student Nik, who completed his solo Qualifying Cross Country flight today in Cessna 152, G-BOYL. 

Nik departed Redhill at 10:30 this morning signed out by Dirk as his normal instructor Mark could not be here today.

Nik's first leg was to Earls Colne in Essex, followed by a second leg to Lydd on the south coast. Nik was able to organise a Zone Transit over Southend Airport on his way to Lydd. He said it was really surreal looking down to see jets taking off and departing beneath him! Finally, Nik returned to Redhill with a beaming smile on his face – rather like the one from his first solo flight!

Nik is now looking forward to preparing for his Skills Test which he hopes to complete before the winter.
